We all have to suffer because some people are foolish enough to get into a bidding war to buy a house. The price does not necessarily reflect what you can actually sell your house.When things go back to normal after this pandemic, we will all be stuck with assessments that are a lot higher than the house will actually sell for and we have to go through all the bull crap with the town to try to get the readjusted. I assure you if they do not receive this I will vote for anyone running with the exception of the incumbents.

Mine went up 35,000 and we have done absolutely no improvements other than painting the deck!!

I think the timing is not the most advantageous. This assessment should be rescinded until 2022 or 23. To see if the prices stand up and people get back on their feet from the pandemic.

In view of what is happening with Covid and the housing market, I am in favor of the Town of Chili to cancel or rescind the 2021 assessment as it will put an undue burden on the residents of Chili.

Maybe it’s time to start looking internal at the town for ways to reduce costs and tighten the belt like the majority of the citizens are having to do with over 4% inflation rates.

Our house will not stay at this high an assessed value once the crazy Pandemic inspired real estate market calms down. Then we will probably be way over assessed in value I fear!

There is an obvious bubble in housing prices unseen before. I think It's a unique time and it would be reasonable to ask for pause this year. Also would be nice if there was a fixed schedule for assessments (every 2-3 years for example), cap on the amt raise that can happen.
