Midterms are only there to bring your grade down. The only way your grade is safe is with a 100%. They also do not represent your knowledge if we are all cramming the night before. They're honestly a waste of time and takes away time for instruction.

im a junior at john champe high, midterm should be optional for every student, with all these delays and days off makes it hard for student to learn every thing we miss during that days off and makes it stressful and hard as well for those who play sports as well.

I believe in today's school systems some serious issues are present and need to be fixed. The school system today is messed up in that all it is about is getting that letter grade rather than actually learning. Now this has particularly nothing to do with the 2015 midterms being canceled. Although the they should be as us students haven't had a single class, exam review, or study guide to help us get through the exams.

I completely agree with this petition and I believe it is a great way to show our teachers and the local authority that this is a topic that presses heavily on our minds as students. I personally do not feel like my teachers have adequate time, if any, set aside for midterms, which are next week. My peers have also related to me that the stress is mutual throughout the student body. I think whoever wants to take midterms may do so, put it adds unneeded pressure and stress to others.
