Laziness is not the reason for students wanting the midterms to be cancelled. It's the unneeded stress and unfairness of the test that bring students to wanting to make it optional.

Due to the bad weather, we haven't had an A day class where we have learned since before winter break. Most students have no idea what to expect on the midterms this year as the teachers (espcially A day teachers) have not discussed what will be on the midterm. Making it optional this year will benefit a lot of people and save their grades, as we won't have much time to study.
