Some countries with very successful education systems have been able to achieve this level of success by (among other things) limiting the use of standardized testing

I agree that we shouldn't have midterms. Simply because without enough review; these wont be any easy. And the results of our midterms may greatly effect our grade

We have missed many days and I still have a full unit to learn in French, and algebra before the midterm.

Because of the recent school cancelations I feel unprepared to take the midterms which could severely effect my grade both positively and negatively, I feel as tho we didn't learn some of the essential material that can/would be on the midterms.

I'm taking AP and honor courses because I want to challenge myself and learn material in depth. I haven't had an A day in a week or two and now I'm supposed to catch up on old information and review new information while still studying for tests and quizzes? I don't think that's very fair and I request midterm cancellation.
