Cancel midterms please. With the extreme loss of A days, it is valid to say all of us are at a disadvantage while taking the midterms.

Midterms, while a great idea on paper, actually negatively impact students. They aren't a clear representation of the students grade, more so the reflection of information that a student can absorb within a given week. Also, the only way a midterm can raise your grade is for a student to match the midterm grade with his current quarter grade or risk his grade going down. 95% of the time, students grades are lowered dramatically, due to the midterms being 20% of the 2nd quarter's overall grade. There wasn't enough time to prepare for these midterms, because we missed almost a full week of school last week, and now teachers are trying to work twice as fast to give us all the information we need to be prepared. But we,vstudents, cannot absorb any of it. We should be able to have the option of whether or not we take midterms, that way kids have the choice to raise or lower their own grades.

I am currently far behind and all of my classes due to the recent weather. My teachers have failed to cover everything prior to midterms and I feel as if it would not be fair to both the students and teachers to have mandatory midterm exams. Thank you.

Each class will only get 2 days to go over and entire semester of material that is unrealistic and unfair to students we have study guides for every class and no time at all to complete them you need to consider we all work, play sports and want to spend time with our families too

The purpose of midterms is to assess what a student has learned. Testing students on material they have not been exposed to hurts students' grades and wastes teachers' time.
