My daugter has been bringing this up often, she still hasnt recieved some of her study guides. I believe that they should cancel the midterm or make it optional

Great petition! Not just to cancel the upcoming midterms but to also question midterms in general. It causes so much stress, which is not healthy for us.

I think miderms should be canceled because we have missed too many A days and I could only take the ones I need if theyou are made optional

It's very apparant that we haven't had adequate time to prepare for these exams: not a single one of my teachers has even had the opportunity to distribute a midterm review packet, cover all of the material on the tests - including the material mandated by the county, and we've had one full school day in the past twenty five days. It's been nearly a month since we've had an a day. I do well in my classes - I'm in the top ten percent and president of LCHS's National Honor Society - and all of the colleges I'm applying to are incredibly, outrageously selective. My midterm grades are the very last impression the admissions committees will see from me, and in light of all the cancellations this past week, I'm terrified that I won't be able to make and show them the grades I've been working for for the last twelve years. Please.

they should really cancel midterms. They pretty much have no benefit towards us.
