I believe no one is ready for midterms. I belive that midterms are thrown at us right after winter break like do you really belive that students are studying during break? No because thats our time to relax sleep and go and have fun, plus half of high schoolers work so during break we out there making money. So in the end we shouldn't have midterms at all not even an end of semester at all puts too much stress on us.

I am a student myself and i agree with the fact that midterms should be cancelled because it puts too much stress on the student, because they have to review everything they have learned up until that point in the year in a matter of 2 weeks.
I've only gotten 1 of my packets and none of them are from A Days

As a student, I am not prepared to take a test on a semester's worth of information when information has not been properly given due to weather conditions. I feel that teachers should not be rushed in their lessons and should focus on getting their students to understand and apply themselves with all necessary information. This is not about preventing the work load of studying, but of learning the correct way in a healthy, less stressed environment for teachers and students. A required test is unnecessary. The teacher at hand should be able to evaluate the readiness of his or her students and decide for or against their own test. This is not for someone other than the teachers and students to decide

the last two weeks were set aside by teachers to study and prepare for midterms and we have not had an adequate amount of school to be properly prepared for these tests. most of my teachers still have more to teach us before the midterms before we even begin to review. if I take them next week, I will not do well. This is why I want them to be canceled, not because I am some lazy student who does not feel like doing their work

I am a senior who attends Monroe Technology Center on b days, leaving 4 out of the 5 classes I take on A days. We haven't had an A day that any material has been taught in about a month. There is no way that my teachers will be able to retract an entire semester in 4 days. Thanks for your time and concern

The worst part about midterms is if you do bad your grade gets effected tremendously, but if you do well your grade isn't going to increase much. That's rediculous because two Quarters worth of blood, sweat and tears can go to waste because of ONE exam.

Though we are not prepared for the upcoming midterms, these tests still give us a good understanding of which areas in school we need to focus or study more on. If anything, I believe that students should still have to take the midterms, but each student individually should have the right to decide whether or not the midterm grade is kept. That way, if a student scored exceptionally well on the midterm, he or she could use the score to improve their overall grade in the class. If he or she did poorly, however, then the score would not be counted against them.

Midterms should be canceled since they can lower averages, and cause a high amount of stress to students
