I agree that student health should be prioritized in this smoky situation, but it would be helpful if the pollution cited the correct fire.

I missed school today because I got sick from the smoke, and most likely won’t be fit enough to go tomorrow, and don’t really want to miss another day of school

How can we expect our children to think with all the smoke clouding their brains?

I have Reactive Airway disease and Asthma, getting myself to school and back is genuinely painful and I threw up yesterday morning after biking to school. The air quality is horrible and my inhaler, as well as those of my other poor-lunged friends, is doing nothing at this point. It’s messed up dawg

Air quality is horrible absolutely horrible right now I would not normally side with school closing because of this cause I think society’s going soft on kids but the haze yesterday and today is something else
