Canadian Feminists Support Bill C-16 / Féministes canadiens pour le projet de loi C-16

It's time to realize that there is really more than two genders and that all people deserve to be accepted for who they are. Let's end the violence and barriers.

I am just a regular woman. So are the women who this bill would protect. They are my sisters and it is unacceptable that Canada has not already included all genders under it's protections already.

Please pass Bill C-16 without ammendments immediately for my son and all in the trans community. Trans rights are human rights!

Trans people are people, too. Human Rights for all of us. It's only right.

So so important. Please pass it. All Canadians deserve rights.

This shouldn't be up for debate that we, especially trans women, need protection in these times and deserve to be recognized

As a parent whose child identifies as the gender they were born assigned but is mistaken for a different one, every single time, this bill will protect more than just a "small" percentage of citizens. This will help anyone who does not appear in predetermined categories. This values all people regardless of what their body parts are.

“To be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” - Nelson Mandela. If we do not protect the rights of transgender, non-binary, two-spirit Canadians, and others whose identity exists beyond the letters 'M' and 'F', we are not being true to our promise of protecting the rights of all Canadians.

How has this not happened sooner? This bill needs to pass right now for our transgendered Canadians.

Let's not delay and pass Bill C-16

All Canadians should be safe to be themselves and trans men and women are particularly vulnerable. Please pass this bill to provide support to these citizens.

I find this bill very pertinent and quite important thus why I am here signing this petition today. Let us, as proud Canadians, embrace gender identity in our nation and promote being oneself with pride!

Gender, sexuality or any expression related to these, do not divide us. We should support each other. Our needs are not mutually exclusive.

Trans rights are fundamental human rights. People should get to be who they are.
