PETITION To: The the Deputy Secretary, The Chancellery, The Advisory Council, Governor General Michaelle Jean and Prime Minister Stephen Harper, We, the undersigned, firmly believe that the recent appointment of the Order of Canada to Dr. Henry Morgentaler should be promptly terminated for the following reasons according to the policy and procedure for termination. WE ADVISE THAT Paragraph 25(c) of the Constitution of the Order of Canada provides for termination of a person\'s appointment to the Order by an ordinance made by the Governor General.(a) the person has been convicted of a criminal offence; HENRY MORGENTALER in defiance of our laws, BROKE THE LAWS OF THE LAND TO BRING IN LAWLESSNESS! OR (b) the conduct of the person HENRY MORGENTALER HAS COMMITTED THE GREATEST CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY IN OUR GENERATION, HE HAS TAKEN THE LIVES OF OVER 100,000 PREBORN CANADIAN CHILDREN HIMSELF. These tiny human beings were alive and had a beating heart, arms, legs, fingers and toes on every one that was older that 8 weeks gestation. Several of us are post abortive women and know first hand about the physical and emotional damage of legal abortion. (ii) The long and honourable ethical tradition of medical sciences through the ages has been expressed and protected by the oath of Hippocrates. "I WILL NEVER GIVE A DEADLY DRUG TO ANYBODY IF THEY ASK FOR IT, NOR WILL I MAKE A SUGGESTION TO THIS EFFECT. SIMILARILY I WILL NOT GIVE TO A WOMAN AN ABORTIVE REMEDY..." This tradition, rephrased in modern terms in the Declaration of Geneva after the Holocaust;(1948) must be our guide.
