The people of Canada are not to be bullied. We are not occupiers. We are partners with the Global Community who want nothing but for Afghanistan to be a peaceful, prosperous nation. Just as Canadians faced intimidation at Vimy, at Sicily, at Normandy, at Korea and elsewhere, we face it again, shoulder to shoulder. We will not back down. We will fight on, for the world, for Canada and yes, for Afghanistan. Thousands have already come and served for peace in Afghanistan. Thousands of Afghans have benefitted. So long as you stand ready to intimidate the weak, so long as you continue to bully those whom you see as weak, we will stand in your way.
