Can we make Goostrey roads safer?

I am in favour of a 20 mph speed limit and speed bumps on Main Road Goostrey

I want 20 mph on the main road through Goostrey together with speed bumps in appropriate places.

Make it safe!

I think speed bumps or some sort of speed reduction method would be better than a reduction in the actual speed limit. There is already a speed limit - people just don’t stick to it!

I have been concerned for a long time about the speed of cars and tractors using main road Goostrey. I have seen tractors the height of houses going far to fast along main road, and as most of our pavements are very narrow I fear that someone could be dragged under the wheels while walking along the road. Especially young children who are walking to and from school. We holiday a lot on Anglesey and I find most drivers respect the 20 mile an hour speed limit going through the villages. At least then pedestrians are much safer to go about there business. This petition in my mind is a very important safety issue.

Need more 30mph signs on Station Road with road markings like the ones through Alderley village. Cars speed down Station road between Station Bridge and through the village. It's dangerous and an accident waiting to happen

Definitely 20mph Pavements are narrow and some close calls over the years walking the kids to school, I actually try to avoid walking to school when possible.

The road bridge over the railway is also a danger zone for pedestrians

If this does not gather traction then an alternative would be a pedestrian crossing

Cars go far too fast past the school. Also need to review the speed at the far end of Goostrey Lane near the A50, current speed limit past the houses is ridiculous!

We need safer roads!

Also need to do something about cross roads at booth bed lane

There are too many people speeding through our village. I’ve seen people do 41 mph at 8.40am when kids are walking to school. Speed bumps should absolutely be introduce to keep our children safe!

I feel this is a good idea with the school crossing

I walk my son every morning to school and the pavements are not very wide and cars don’t tend to slow down!

The traffic is often travelling too fast through the village, especially around the bend by the school.

Or safety crossed

Keep the kids safe!
