The malae belongs to the land which the people of American Samoa live and flourish from, especially by the youth. The malae has its many purposes for our youth and has its history of family quality bondings. Look at our fono building that the government is trying to build! Our culture is slowly being Americanized! Look at our youth and how they are losing the fa’asamoa because of such influences. We should keep as much of our land and history to preserve our fa’asamoa. Culture is a way of life and honestly the decision of our government who the people elected to lead and make decisions to better our island are being unjust and unfaithful to the community and are only concerned to what benefits them.
I support this cause. Save Malae o le Talu
