This series helped me so much to become the person I am. It brought me joy and comfort in a time of lonelyness. So in this media centered society, creating a movie or series that actually sticks to the book, maybe even directly quoting the entire thing, would be such an amazing way to bring this series to life. Just look at the Harry Potter films!

Unfortunately they ARE the current right-holders so they always get first choice. But as they have shown no (public) interest as far as we know, we're keeping our fingers crossed that they might be amenable to selling or lending the rights to a different company. Netflix, Hulu or even Amazon would be good choices!

I object to FOX being a successive choice and would rather it go to an online feature such as Netflix or Hulu.
