The prime time scandal tonight on the abuse of adults with special needs has shown us that in order to protect the most vulnerable in our society, we need to have cameras in all care homes in Ireland.

Please sign, and spread the word.

Having a father in a nursing home I would totally agree with cameras for peace of mind

Without a shadow of a doubt there should be cameras installed in every care home across the country, If carers are not doing anything wrong they won't mind been seen!!

as a parent of a child who may one day need these 'services' i feel ashamed that this is going on in our country. for once, i am not proud to be irish. every home across ireland needs to be investigated and cameras need to be put in place. for those who do nothing are just as bad as those who committed the crime, and this is a crime.

Installing cameras needs to become law, as does accountability of whole teams that stand by and don't report abuse.

Cameras are the only way that we can catch these people abusing the most vulnerable in care homes. Disabled people are 3-4 times more likely to be victims of abuse, yet the least likely to ever get justice. Give those who have no voice a voice and make staff accountable for their actions.

In this day and age, surely this would be expected.
