Isn't that why we have security people around? Why aren't they regulating as they should in and around campus? We paid for both our education and the protection of us and our belongings to get by in our school. Isn't that basic logic for all schools?

I am starting to feel a bit paranoid about my own stuff recently. Can't go to the bathroom in school unless a professor or friend is watching my stuff nowadays.

You are right in saying students should not leave their stuff unattended. Going off of your bicyclist analogy, it is true it is still you lying on a hospital bed at the end, but at least someone is paying for your hospital bills. In the bicyclist case, there is a whole system in place where authorities do their job and help you find the one that hit you. This is what we are petitioning for, a system where we can at least attempt to find the one committing the crime instead of having us pay out of our own pocket. To my knowledge, the security has not been able to identify any suspects in the numerous accounts of crime since January 2015. We NEED a system in place to AT LEAST discourage crime.

As a victim of an unresolved theft on campus- I feel we are not protected adequately. A high ranking institution such as ArtCenter shouldnt have issues such as this.
