Rep. Thomas Caltagirone ran for the 127th Pennsylvania house seat as a Democrat in the primary. He ran as a Democrat in the general election. He raised tens of thousands of dollars pleadging to run as a Democrat. He convinced thousands of voters to vote for him and many loyal Democrats to volunteer for his election. Then, after the election, Calatagirone made a private deal to support the Republican Party, betraying the voters of his district and the state of Pennsylvania. Caltagirone's private backroom deal denied the voters their desire to have a Democratic Speaker of the House. We, the undersigned, consider this a betrayal. We demand that Rep. Caltagirone immediately resign his seat because he ran under false pretenses nad betrayed the wishes of the voters.
