Dealers who excel at their job ought to be compensated better than those less adept at the craft.

The status quo at the WSOP, whereby all dealers are paid the same amount regardless of experience, expertise, ability to deal just a few or multiple types of poker, and overall excellence must end.

This petition calls for the WSOP to reconsider it's current policy and hiring practices, and to reward dealers based on merit, effective immediately.

While players ought to continue tipping dealers based on their general amicability, it behooves us as a player community to stand up in support of all dealers being contractually rewarded based on their performance.

To that end, we support the development of qualitative and quantitative measures/goals by the WSOP, such that dealer performance can be properly evaluated and incentivized moving forward.

Having been a dealer for 20 years beginning in 1977 and excelling at my profession, I support this by all means. I was very good at what I did and wish that proper compensation had been the norm back then. Since it wasn't, there are few things I would support more now than having great dealers paid appropriately. Break in dealers should not be paid as much as the excellent ones as they haven't earned that right. To keep great dealers working for you, paying them appropriately is the best way to keep them motivated and their attitudes great. It is also an incentive for novice dealers to improve. Hundred percent support from me!

Compensation based on performance is not a new concept but it is very movational.

It really burns me when I'm dealing horse and look over at a warm body who signed 4 times on dead spreads. We just made the same amount of money.

Having more experienced dealers always helps a tournament run more smoothly, gives players more hands per blind level, and generally create a much better table atmosphere - they should definitely be compensated for it! Thank you

I was a poker dealer in a small OK casino for years, and we switched from keeping our tips to splitting tips and I can honestly say this has a very large impact on dealer performance. Especially if you are one of the better dealers.
