I thought Wandsworth was trying to look after what is left of our Biodiversity - not poison it?

Great petition I have in past emailed Wandsworth asking what is was they used and why men have to wear protective clothes but they didn't bother to reply let's hope this will force them to stop using this unnecessary stuff

I have been asking WBC to stop spraying glyphosate outside my house for the past 10 years. They promise not to, since it makes me very ill and killed my cat ! but then they turn up again, sometimes in hazmat suits and spray - even in windy conditions. One year the plants in my front garden died because the wind carries it further than the pavement. It makes no sense to continue, when I have offered evidence of the damage it does environmentally and have appealed for health reasons for this to stop.

You had me at: Exposure affects human reproduction and foetal development at far lower toxicities (0.3-0.06%) than thought and far lower than the 1-2% mix used in farming and weed control.

Considering our record of protecting the biodiversity in this country it amazes and disgusts me that Wandsworth is still using a toxic pesticide known to be extremely harmful to insects and the wider environment. Lambeth stopped using on streets a while back I believe.

This happened in Canada for many years - the impact on the small birds & local wildlife & rivers happened very quickly. It went to court. I hope this is successful too!

Please think about the damage glyphosate does to the environment. We are trying to beautify Balham with tree pit planting but they have already been sprayed with glyphosate damaging wildlife and destroying biodiversity.
