You are holding up positive progressive for our great state, so you either need to change your tune or resign immediately to make way for a Representative that actually REPRESENTS your constitutants and the vast majority of Pennsylvanians.

Take just one hour of your time to do a little bit of research on your own - without having your information filtered through someone else's lens. Look at the research, published in respected medical journals. Look for examples of people that it has helped. Examples of how it relieves pain, dramatically reduce seizures, and gives malnourished patients on chemo an appetite again where nothing else has worked. Kids who finally have a chance at a normal life instead of being assaulted by seizures all day. Now look for negative examples. Research showing the damage cannabis can do. Of course you'll find some, not much, and after looking into it you'll find nonexistant lab trials or testimony from doctors that aren't on any registry. You won't find a single double-blind, placebo controlled trial (like the ones the FDA requires) that shows any kind of major detrimental effect towards people. Nothing anywhere near the issues that people prescribed opiate-based pain medication have - you cannot overdose on cannabis. It won't give you permanent liver damage if you take too much for too long, and it won't make you search out heroin on the streets when you run out of it. People are suffering now. If you 'let the next guy take care of it', they can't take away all of the suffering endured by people because of your decision. Know now that every day that goes by, good people will be enduring pain that could have been lessened if you hadn't gone against the public opinion. Whatever the reason, whether it was pressure from the drug companies or not, was it worth condemning people to all that pain? I'll summarize my point one last time: People - lots of people - are in pain, and will be in pain in the future, because of a decision you made.

this medication is my daughter only chance of a better quality of life. She has a heart condition that does not allow her to use prescription medication to manage her torrettes syndrome , autism, ADHD, and trisomy 13. If this was your child you would be out raged and would do everything in your power to help them.

Fibromyalgia suffer and many other chronic pain suffers would benefit from this Bill Passing! Step aside.....Clearly you don't understand!
