This man does not represent his constituents. He is clearly in it for his own interests. If you just want a paycheck work a real job and leave being a representative for someone who has interests in representing the people of the Commonwealth.

Unfortunately, Pennsylvania is having some bad luck right now. I won't get into it too heavy, but a jerk in a position of power (Rep. Matt Baker), is stating he won't put it to a vote because his EXCUSE is if it was "safe", the federal government would change it to a schedule 2 drug and he won't approve anything not first approved by the FDA. Even when he says the word "marijuana", he somehow slurs it and says it so condescendingly you can tell he has an innate strong dislike for the drug (I believe his skewed "sense of right and wrong" is seriously amiss, and he is making pathetic excuses due to his "campaign contributions"). Since the bill is in his office, he reserves the right to not allow the entire house of representatives to vote on the bill at all, DESPITE it passing in the senate overwhelmingly, and our governor (Tom Wolf) saying he will sign it into law the moment it reached his desk. Worst of all, a recent poll done by Fox news found that 88% of Pennsylvanians believe it should be approved for medicinal use. Sorry for my rant, but the situation has me upset. I would like to be an advocate for this, but am not sure who I could work for (Norml?). Regardless, thanks for letting me talk your ear off! Any ideas, don't hesitate to run them by me!

Matt Baker's statements on the dangers of marijuana show that he is clearly uneducated on the topic. Furthermore, he has received "funding" from several pharmaceutical companies that manufacture painkillers, sales of which would be negatively affected by legal medical marijuana.

I SUFFER FROM INJURIES DURING MY 2 TOURS IN IRAQ AND HAVE CHRONIC BACK AND KNEE PAIN AFTER MULTIPLE SURGERIES. PAIN MEDS HELP BUT I AM LIKE A ZOMBIE AFTER TAKING THEM. MARIJUANA IS THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS WITH MY PAIN AND DOES NOT CAUSE ANY SIDE EFFECTS. BECAUSE OF M. BAKER I HAVE TO GET IT ILLEGALLY AND ALSO TAKE A CHANCE OF LOSING MY JOB.
