
Call For Reevaluation of Past Graded Assignments


**Petition to Reevaluate Student Grades Due to Confusing Assignment Instructions**
Faculty,
We, the undersigned students, respectfully request a reevaluation of grades for assignments where unclear or inconsistent instructions have impacted our performance.
Throughout the beginning of this semester, multiple student’s assignments have contained ambiguous guidelines and vague expectations that made it difficult for students to meet the intended requirements. Once graded, no feedback was provided on how to improve performance. Many of us sought clarification, yet received delayed answers or none at all.
We believe that grading should fairly reflect our knowledge and skills, not our ability to decipher unclear directions. To ensure academic fairness, we ask the administration to:
1. **Review assignments with reported inconsistencies** and consider adjustments to affected grades.
2. **Encourage clearer communication from instructors** by providing detailed rubrics and examples. Each assignment should include within it a clear set of instructions and expectations.
3. **Improve teacher to student communication** As per the Syllabus, professors will respond within a 48 hour time period to messages.
4. **Repair Grading Module** Grading module is currently showing 0 grades for assignments that are not due and are not even open for submission yet. This makes it difficult for students to gauge their progress
Our goal is not to undermine grading policies but to promote a fair and transparent evaluation process that supports student success. We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
