I feel this was not meant to harm anyone. It was something that needed to be corrected which I know will because you have professionals in the field of education that accept all students. It is in an educator's blood to educate not to judge.

The more inclusivity this school can be the better. There was a lot of homophobia and bullying when I attended NWSD and I’m happy to see it headed in the right direction

Gender identity is unique to the individual. It is in the best interest of students to be able to express who they are at all times. We must nurture seeds of acceptance and growth in our community.

Children should be allowed to express themselves freely and openly, without judgment or scorn from the people meant to be their role models. Outdated gendered dress codes are biased specifically against not only young girls, but trans and non-binary students alike.
