The building is a lot higher than the plans original plans.
It's a hideous addition to the skyline of a beautiful village in a conservation area.
Site plans, survey's of the site have not been submitted.
The owner of the site seems to think it's ok just to do what he likes and doesn't care what the local villagers thick and are of no importance.
Also in these times he hopes that we'll forget about his plans while we stay inside to protect ourselves.

Blot on the landscape. Nothing like the original plans.
Not in keeping with the area.Blocks off light from many properties.. Question mark on the surveys including drainage, impact on the local area.

This building is an absolute eyesore, right at the entrance to the Quarry conservation area. It looks like a prison!

The new build at 1 Quarry High Street is too big and too high. The developer is obviouslyusing approximate measurements against the original plans. Make the devloper stick to the plans.

This building is an eyesore and not in keeping if the area and not sympathetic to quarry’s history. Also Quarry high Street is A awkward RoD to travel on, some would say dangerous. It cannot take any more traffic. Cars going in or out on the site of this building is an accident waiting to happen!

This development is ‘much’ bigger than the original drawings and plans and is an overdevelopment of a small site.
It is a hideous eyesore on the entrance to the Headington Quarry conservation area and action should be taken against the owner/developer.

It's so out of scale with the surrounding buildings. To veer from the approved proposal in such a manner shows a clear lack of respect, for both the planning process and local residents

I have safety concerns about traffic leaving the development when it is so close to an already busy and dangerous junction. Because the building comes right up to the road, vehicles pulling out will not be able to see oncoming traffic and pedestrians coming from Quarry Road and Margaret Road and vice versa.
Aesthetically the development is too large, it is overbearing and incongruous.

Concerned about sight lines for vehicles emerging from the new development on to Quarry High Street - heavy traffic area already with cars entering from Quarry Hollow. Clear visibility to all is very important

The Quarry is a conservation area which was granted in the 1970s to preserve its unique character. I am proud to live in such a lovely and historic village. However, this awful development should not be allowed. Firstly, how did this oversize (width and height) development get planning permission in the first place when it looked cramped on its footprint, would overshadow the old bakery which is so close by and would increase the traffic at what is already a dangerous junction?
Secondly, the developers have contravened the planning permission by building it far higher than the permissions allow. It is visually far too high, wide and dominating in its surroundings, and the materials are not in keeping with adjacent buildings. In all these points, this development is contravening the Steinberg Principle. When will the local council take action?
It's a monstrosity.

Though we live at the other end of Quarry, as we come down Quarry Rd there is this massive shape dominating the entrance to the village. As we get closer we see it as an incongruous building that does not fit in with any other building or aspect. It dominates the approach in an unattractive manner.

The buildings under construction are too high relative to all those in the surround area and dominate the vista down Quarry Road and Quarry High Street. They are inconsistent with Quarry being a conservation area.

This building does not enhance Headington Quarry Conservation area at all. Much too high and large for this small site. It looms high over nearby homes including those 1-13 Coppock Close. Red cedar cladding looks hideous.The small parking area is expected to accommodate a possible 9 vehicles plus 14 waste bins. Vehicles will be regularly entering & leaving the site on to busy Quarry High St. & nearby crossroads.
