The undersigned are calling for additional police officers to be permanently assigned to the 16th District. We would like assurances, in writing, that 16th District police who are permanently assigned to the district remain assigned to the district and are NOT reassigned to other areas of the city. We need a consistent number of regular patrol officers to keep our community safe. Pulling officers from our ward to serve other parts of the city leaves the far Northwest Side of Chicago at risk. We are calling for our full complement of police resources to protect our community.
