This bill will undo the hard work of creating a truly democratic political system here in CA. Flooding the system with more money would be a tragic mistake.

Assemblyman Kevin Mullin, who introduced Assembly Bill 84 says it will give the party leadership more power in "getting good people elected and keeping them elected." We've seen how the California Democratic party apparatchiks determine who is "good people" and who is not. In that case, we don't need another stultifying power grab by establishment party bosses, and we don't need more corporatist centrist losers polluting our California legislature. This bill must be stopped.

This will take even more voting power from the people. STOP SPECIAL INTEREST MONEY FROM INTERFERING W OUR LAWS, AND OUR ENVIRONMENT. When legislators take money, they don’t “represent the people”. Little by little, our constitutional rights are sliding away from us. This would result in a system that would be against the American Constitution, and all that we pride ourselves on as a country. Creating an overpowering “back room” lawmaking environment. Controlling who gets to run in elections, and unfair competitions amongst candidates as well. Too much power and control would be in the hands of special interests and corporations; and also too much would go to the leaders of the California legislature.
