I think that people should be aloud to have them as long as there quite birds and kept clean and taken care of.. I don't see no harm in it and if people can have pigs as pets why not chickens...

I love eggs, and I want a healthy chicken to deliver them so I may devour them in the mornings.

Why can I, and my neighbors, own barking dogs, but my right to own a food producing bird is denied? It is a much more humane life for these chickens to live as pets as opposed to a factory.

Urban farming is the only means to be sustainable as per the UN declaration of 2013.
It is time we were all sustainable.
This should be part of the Calgary initiatives for Food safety and food security. Grow Calgary, Imagine Calgary, Green Calgary and Calgary Eats are all good initiatives. Dont go half way.
