Changing the Calendar

Discrimination. It’s all around us. But there’s a demographic of people we as a collective have been ignoring. And that’s the group of people born in February.
February has been the ONLY month with 28 days in it since the 1500’s. My team and I believe that this is unjust.
With February being a month with only 28 days (sometimes 29 on leap years), those born in February are faced with a lack of equal opportunity. How are those on leap years supposed to celebrate their birthdays? How are Februarians supposed to take pride in a month where a day was ROBBED by them from Augustus Caesar of the Roman Empire? Do we truly want to continue to live in the shadow of the Roman Empire’s tyrannical rule? Of course not.
My team and I have created a proposal to correct this error within the written year. We shall tack on two days from July onto February as well as a day from August. February will then have 31 days to it’s name. Because shouldn’t this month have the highest allotted number of days to its count, given it’s been robbed for so long?
We have chosen July and August to be the sacrificial months because of their ties to the violent men they were named after. Julius and Augustus Caesar. These are men who don’t deserve glory. Augustus Caesar himself stole the 29th day of February for his own month! The gall!
Our dream is to rewrite the Gregorian yearly calendar and to seek justice for those under-minded by a failed system. We’re ready for change. Now we just need you.
