CahuengaLight
We, residents of Cahuenga Pass, the Hollywood Dell and Whitley Heights need immediate action to be taken to address the dangerous curve in front of 2260 North Cahuenga Blvd.
In five months’ time, there were two very serious accidents, one of which, Saturday November 11, closed Cahuenga Blvd. for hours, right before a big concert at the Bowl. It’s a miracle no one was killed. The photo is from that accident.
Improved signage and road markings have not done the job we hoped they would. What is needed is a new stoplight, at Cahuenga and west Odin. Yes, there is a stoplight at Cahuenga and Odin.
But Odin stops at Cahuenga, jogs down for a block and picks up on the other side of Cahuenga. We’re talking about a new light at west Odin. There are plenty of examples of short spans between signals, right in our very neighborhood, so that should not be a deterrent.
We need a new stoplight at Cahuenga and west Odin.
