Education is the future - of our community, our state and our nation. While we recognize that 2009 represents very tough economic times and some very difficult decisions, we believe Education must stay a priority for California. 42% of the Governor’s current budget cut proposals come from the Education budget. With educational quality already faltering in California, such drastic cuts will forfeit the future for our children. The people who signed this petition demand that the California Legislature and Governor Schwarzenegger find other line items to cut rather than Education. We need our voices heard because we are the communities, families, and businesses that represent our children, who can't vote for their own futures. Ensure California’s future! Aunque nosotros reconocemos que el año 2009 atraviesa tiempos económicos muy difíciles, teniendo que tomar decisiones muy duras, creemos que la Educación debe permanecer como una prioridad absoluta en California. El plan de Gobierno actual para reducir el déficit del Estado de California propone un 42% en recortes provinientes de la Educación. Unido a la débil calidad de la enseñanza actual, un recorte tan drástico com éste tendrá repercusiones muy serias y negativas en el futuro de nuestros niños. Las personas que firman esta petición demandan que la Legislatura de California y el Governador Schwarzenegger encuentren otros departamentos u otros medios donden reducir gastos. Necesitamos que se escuchen nuestras voces ya que somos las comunidades, familias y negocios que representan a nuestros niños, quienes no pueden votar por su propio futuro. ¡Garantiza el futuro de California! ¡Haz de la Educación una prioridad!
