Cachly App for Android Geocaching
Geocaching.com as many of us know discontinued the Premium Members/Classic App for the less liked "New" Geocaching intro app. This app is far less desireable. The map is rather cartoonish. Logging a cache has been limited to Found it, DNF's and Notes. They eliminated Maintenance Request and Archival Requests. They added pop ups to let you know your close. Really? Why?
Now there are other apps such as c;geo but I don't really care for them. Now iOS or Apple products have Cachly as an option. Cachly is a pretty new app that has added some useful features. There map for instance not only shows you Found It or your caches, it also shows your DNF'S and caches you found and haven't logged yet!! They definitely have some other more technical features I haven't mentioned. Check them out here: www.cach.oh
Now the problem as some of you know......NO Cachly app for Android!!!!
Let's show Cachly Android users want there app to!! iOS/Apple shouldn't be allowed to monopolize this app.

I have been sending quiet messages to the developers to see if they might change their minds about the Android platform. It is draining to hit so many walls when we just want a decent tool for the trails. I am keeping at this even though the progress feels slow.

Seeing this kind of movement is exhausting but it proves how many of us are tired of settling for subpar tools. I am not ready to drop this until we have a real answer.

I have always had an apple phone Nd enjoyed my cachly had to get a new phone could not afford an an apple phone got an android not happy no cachly
I want to change my phone because i’m fed up with the battery (iPhone SE) but I don’t want to loose Cachly which is great
I used to have to pay version of the Geocache app... They should have refunded for those who paid only a month before the decided to do the free thing. I use cegeo now, but my iOS friend all use Cachly and love it. It would be nice to have this available on Android. I would switch. And since I paid for the now useless Geocaching app... I would pay a reasonable one time fee to Cachly.
In UK, use android phones in concert with my Garmin / Satmap ~ have heard alot about this, and wish it were available for my adroids. Thanks
You do know that the developer is one person and that developing this app is not his full time job. He has been developing this app in his free time. In order to develop an Android version of this app would require a complete rewrite up of all of the code. And the developer doesn't have much knowledge of Android app writing either. Again, he is one person that does this in his free time. He would need a significant amount of other resources to develop an Android version

I used Geosphere on my iPod only for field notes. Now that the API has changed, it would be easier to have a seamless workflow with my android phone. I've heard Cachly is as close to Geosphere as you can get so please consider a large untapped market of android users!
