We, the local residents and frequent visitors of the Cabramatta Markets and Cabramatta Railway Station, would like to petition Fairfield City Council to build more car parks in Cabramatta near John Street and at the intersection of Hughes Street and Park Road.

The current areas of which the council is focussing on to establish new car parks, are neither relevant nor appropriate to the daily congestion of customers and commuters. The current methods Fairfield City Council has attempted to implement has been seen to be fruitless and often a waste of time. The shortage of parking spaces has lead to many detrimental effects not only for Cabramatta’s daily visitors but also for the local residents. While customers’ and commuters’ time is being wasted, homeowners are seeing their residential parking being taken by others because there is no available, convenient parking for the market’s customers or for the station’s commuters.

We demand that Fairfield City Council seeks funds to establish these necessary car parks as soon as possible to benefit Cabramatta’s local community.
