Cable Wakeboarding has been shortlisted as a runner-up for official Olympic event by the 2020 Olympics! We have 18 months starting August 2011 to prove to the world that cable park wakeboarding should become an Olympic event! Cable parks create a unique opportunity for people living near lakes. Use of cable parks can help boost recreation on lakes, similar to skateboard parks it will help reduce the number of boarders being towed behind boats, and can help introduce people to wakeskating or wakeboarding who may not be so lucky to have access to a boat. With all of these benefits, having it become an official event could help encourage communities to build a park in their area.
