I feel it was very unethical of Rep. Pittman to introduce this bill without input from Cabarrus County Commissioners and its citizens. We should have an opportunity to address this issue before going to the legislature.

We request that you VOTE NO on HB463, so that you give our citizens the time to make this very important governmental decision within our county lines. If H463 is passed as is, you will take away our voting rights based on the proposed bill submitted by only ONE of our FOUR state representatives.

Everyone should have input with everything that concerns the lives of Citizens, that is a Democratic Society!
It is a movement forward and maintaining forward momentum with progress, to be Democratic, and, anything less is a step behind.

191 people do not represent the majority of the people.. Let the citizens of this county decide not 1 person.

This issue is a county one and should not be mandated at the state level at the urging of one person.

Education is key to anything in life. I have spoken to many people and the biggest issue they take up with the bill is that the candidates would not be elected at large. Districts have their merit, as well as increasing the board size, however, citizens need to have a voice on all commissioners. Please consider voting against HB 463.

A 7 member commission is needed. Districts have their merits; but let's go with a plan that has the support of the entire delegation and the county commission.

Thus bill will not show representation for all. It allows too much power to reside in the hands of one person. Think this is good; look at our current president. Without sufficient time given, I feel like the state is taking advantage of its citizens. As a future teacher, I feel taken advantage of enough, without this bill.

I humbly ask the Members of the NC House of Representative to VOTE AGAINST House Bill 463. Please allow the citizens of Cabarrus County to have the time to make this decision for ourselves.
