Hello all, For those of you who have had to write C1: Mathematics, I'm sure you underwent the same frustration that I am going through as well. I have gone the distance trying to prepare for this exam but it just is WAY to much information for one exam. I am starting this petition to propose a change to this exam. I figured it would be much more fair if a more detailed,specific study guide was made where questions similar to exam questions were available to students. Also, I believe it would also be fair if this exam was split up into a couple exams at the least considering the amount of material that is covered. If this was similar to the exams of 2002-2005 it would much more tolerable but what they have made this exam to be in the last 4-5 years is brutal. I have had a tutor for over a year who is a math major and he even says this is completely unfair. My hope is that with this petition the program heads of CBEPS will come to realize that changes need to be made. I find it unfair that the material taught at schools such as BCIT is more practical (i.e. related to surveying) but those who are required to write this through CBEPS are required to learn so much more material. Please express your opinions and let me know if I'm out of line. If you all are in agreement with my proposal then join in.
