Firstly, I don't do fucking construction, I don't give a flying fuck about how to build a student accommodation and I haven't got the time or patience for ignorant, rude, loud and lazy builders. My room may as well be a room for the SU, as you can hear the music word for word, you can smell cigarette smoke and to top it off during the day you can smell their dirty greasy food. Did I forget to motion the fact that my room flooded, my blinds broke I have cracks in my wall and my door broke? Something needs sorting out !

I think that it is very unfair for particular students to be compensated and favoured whilst others in the exact same situation are not being fully compensated to the same level. I would like to see the response to this to be positive and that everyone gets what they deserve, a good amount of compensation and an apology. I for one would not have stayed in Byron had I known the disruptions I would encounter and we are paying a large sum of money to live somewhere which is essentially a building site, something definitely needs to be sorted out. Thank you!

I live in E3207 and we have still not received our kitchen furniture, but don't worry Byron, you just throw a party and everything will be fine.

Quite obviously the contractor is on penalties. The students should receive a decent level of compensation too!

If this were a normal block of flats with adult tenants, each complaint would be dealt with properly - the feeling that we aren't being taken seriously is one that is shared by the vast majority of students at Byron.

This petition is brilliant, its absolutely shocking what we have gone through this year not being able to sleep with all the drilling works, we are paying so much per week to not being able to sleep, while my friends are only paying about 90 per week and have a great nights sleep(shocking)

My daughter has been ill on and off since she has arrived at Uni due to all the dust and lack of sleep from the non stop building work outside her block, its appalling and Byron really need to compensate every student in this accommodation, and not with a fucking party.

Ovens have broken and power tripped out in kitchen over first 2 weeks. Constant drilling under my bedroom to complete the paving work under F block has woken me up several times. Doors have broke in the kitchen so the stupid door alarm keeps going off. No radiators for first month. Compensate us!
