Save Buster Keaton's Baseball Field

Mr. Keaton is on of my comic heroes. I believe anything dedicated to him should be preserved.

Please save!

There are residential developments in the world. We need to preserve this land, not only because of Buster Keaton, but also because the kids of today need a place to play outside so that they are not always playing video games and not getting any excercise

this is a very important action because this means alot to many, many people. much more than residential development.

Save it; would be good for tourism for the town. They already have Buster fans traveling there and this will add to the traffic Muskegon and Bluffton would see.

Please save this ball field. History was made here and by saving this ball field you are not only saving a piece of history, but preserving a place where kids and adults can continue to play baseball, America's great past time.

What is the most important factor in the value of property? Location. Location. Location.The value of this property is clearly in its historical relevance. Have you been to Hannibal, Missouri; Mark Twain's home town? Look at what tourism does for that sleepy river front town and now think about what you consider doing. Buster Keaton is to film, what Mark Twain is to American Literature. Furthermore, Buster's work is more relevant to this generation because of the New Media. This ball field is a National Treasure.

Always save any historical site, if possible. There is no good reason to cover up part of the childhood of the most incredible movie maker in U.S. history with someone's house! For a few dollars? Really? Think much further ahead than that, please!

This field not only has links of importance to the past but can be used to benefit the children and community as a whole in the future. As far as I'm concerned this is a no brainer. It would be unthinkable for it to be knocked down for yet another housing development. Think of the tourism this and other Keaton sites brings to the area.

This field is not only history. If you supported making it into a landmark it will bring tourists like me and my friends to your town. If it is bulldozed then I wont ever come there :)

Please save this baseball field - it should be heritage listed! That's what we have here in Australia for famous and old landmarks!

PLEASE save this field! I would hate to see this icon of history get erased for the sake of a dollar.

So much of the history of Muskegon is being destroyed by tearing down these buildings. Before you know it, there will be no evidence left of our past! Lets hang on to what we have left!

This ball field has been a part of my life, for all of my life. Growing up in Muskegon, I attended Bluffton school, and played ball on this field. I made friends here that have lasted a lifetime. But these are selfish statements. This field is a part of our town that is quickly disappearing. The beauty of the woods and (whats left of) the dunes that surround the Bluffton area surrounds the field, and should remain there for the next generations to use and appreciate.

The land should be a public park for all to enjoy.

Don't be a buster. Save the field!

I am all for saving this area for a public park. It is bad enough that they bulldozed the school down and want to build homes there. Keep some of this precious land available to the public.

As a member of the "Damfinos", the reason I have visited Muskegon is Buster Keaton. I've enjoyed local restaurants, museums, the hotel and the required visit to the ballfield for some crazy 'baseball'. Save the field for a small park and green space to honor Buster Keaton, who loved Muskegon. Now is a good time to give back to Buster who is an immortal screen legend.

Upscale housing is being planned for this historic site. This should be preserved for future generations!
