This is important to us because as 2 pensioners If we are out for the day and cannot leave Lancaster by 5.40pm we would then have to wait for a bus to Carnforth and walk 2 miles home along a very narrow path(some sections have no path) by a busy road. (In winter this would be in the dark) As for Sundays we would have no alternative but to walk to Carnforth before being able to get any bus onward plus endure the walk home again. We urge you to do all you can to make them reconsider. Ken & Dorothy Pearce

The loss of the 81 bus service on Sundays and evenings would leave Halton with zeo public transort at those times. This is not ideal at a time when we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint.

The Kirkby Lonsdale to Lancaster bus service 81A is the only bus that serves the village of Gressingham other than the school bus 81B. The Service schedule is already extremely restrictive and any reduction in service would inevitably cause hardship to service users. Gressingham has an increasing Senior Citizen population.

An appalling example of Misjudgement by County Councillors and their unelected senior officers. This must not be allowed to happen.

The current proposals potentially affect the quality of life of all residents without access to cars. ALL residents (whether urban or rural) are vulnerable to the proposals in the sense that implementation is likely to make it more difficult for urban residents to visit friends and relatives living in rural areas as well as making it more difficult for rural residents to visit friends and relatives (and access essential, commercial, professional and recreational services) in urban areas.

I appreciate the County Council is facing cuts to its funding, but axing bus services is a false ecomony. The County's own research indicates that at least 15% or those living in rural Lancashire do not have access to a car.
