The bursary system need to be ruled out, it is not meeting the needs of the students relating to the employee status. They’ve dual status, but the bursary is only responsible for the academic part, what about work/ practicals? Who ensures safety arrival at work and the requirements needed for work like unirforms, stethoscopes and all the necessary equipments that a nurse should have?

Bursary system must fall

This system is seriously not working and it needs to be stopped. Students are suffering in clinical facilities. At least offer students medical aids so that they can protect themselves. We're exposed to many diseases and no one is looking out for us. Instead we're treated as a workforce. Colleges also treat us as employees and only as students when it suits them, and we're solely holding a bursary student tittle not that of a student nurse. If we remain bursary students then things have to change, we should be treated as students. Students don't report to work on weekends, they only work weekdays because they are not paid to work on weekends. We are being overworked and materials needed by students do not arrive on time. We've been promised an allowance raise and nothing has been done yet and neither have we received money for uniform. We are struggling. This system must seriously be looked into, and MUST BE SHUT DOWN. BURSARY SYSTEM MUST FALL.

We find it hard to go do our clinical practices during holidays because we do not have money for transport.

This bursary is making us suffer with transport and again we have no benefits while we are exposed to various microorganisms and this compromises our health, we are workers we deserve a dual status #bursary must fall #

The bursary can't do everything we need as nurses

Bursary system must fall, we are expected to work 40 hours a week like permanent employees without getting payed a single send worse we haven't even immunized because we are expected to immunize with our own money.

This bursary is failing to help us with all wee need it must be closed

The bursary limits us, we need money for transport and uniform like any other former nursing students. This will delay our graduation because of hours requirements won't be met. It not fair on us to get purnished for the previous generation sins while those who ruined things still get their allowances. We work over December and January holidays but we have no food and no resident to stay at because bursary covers for February till November .

We work full hours ...we don't get transport money...we struggling... this bursary system must be closed
