I thought that ownership of the Beeches was ceded to the the City to ensure that it remained an open space and not for it be considered an area for bye laws.

Please allow our dogs to be off the leads in more areas. If families don't want to go in that area they can go other places.

I have enjoyed this space since I was a little girl and I would like to continue to enjoy this park. As a responsible owner of a well socialised dog I take great joy from seeing him frolic off lead, taking in all that nature provides. Please don't deny our animals this freedom.

I've walked my dogs in Burnham Beeches for over 50 years. Never had a problem with my dogs off lead. I can only see more problems arising from keeping them on lead !

We went here every weekend , don't go at all now , as not enjoyable , all because of a couple of incidents others get punished , and I believe dogs are more aggressive on the lead . Please change such a beautiful place to walk ..

I remain worried that the only tarmac covered path for off lead walkers using the car park is Halse Drive. It is a national cycle way on a steep hill, posing a threat of conflict. No matter how under control a dog, they find it harder to see cycles moving at pace and cycles speed on those slopes. I also feel that elderly and disabled people are not able to have the same range of enjoyment in letting their dogs off lead because of the steep inclines on the off lead paths to reach flat ground. I do think Peter Mandleson Hill (as we call it_ and Vic Drive could be re-zoned. I would ask for a neutral party to review and scientifically measure the impact on wildlife of extending an off lead area. This research would have a National impact and could be funded by English Nature rather than the Corp because it is very important. It should be undertaken by a neutral party for credibility. If it proves that walking early morning and evening and zone extension has an impact, that would be accepted by most responsible dog owners.

The current restrictions are too much. Why can dogs not be off lead walking along Victoria Drive?. Agree that on lead by the ponds makes sense.I think off lead before 11am and after 5pm is another good idea..

Agree that it is a shame and made no real sense to be applied in the first place. Even the wooded area is on lead and very vast
