This is a petition that will hopefully be seen by President Magafuli urging him to burn the Tanzanian ivory stocks.
For her exhibition, Mythili, a student at Iringa International School, did her project on the illegal ivory trade. This project has an action component; Mythili wanted her action to be a petition to burn the Tanzanian ivory stocks which she could send to President Magafuli. Watching Mythili work through this project has shown me how deeply our youth feel the weight of this wildlife crisis. We are currently gathering all the stories you have shared to ensure they are included when this formally reaches the President.

Seeing this momentum grow for Mythili makes me incredibly proud of the hard work she put into her project. People are finally paying attention to the reality of the ivory trade and that brings me so much hope for the future of our wildlife.

Fully agree Mythili but surely the poaching needs to be monitored and severelly dealt with. They are having great results in South Africa using sky diving dogs trained in Norfolk UK.
I will always raise my voice against the injust activities against animals wether if its my country or any other country in the world . Animals are born free like us and they have a right to live . This is my kindest request to you that the removal of ivory should be stopped and do not harm any animal and also the ivories removed from elephants should not be smuggled and should be burnt .
Having visited magnificent Ruaha I would be delighted to see beautiful Tanzania burn all its ivory
Hope the fight against ivory trade doesn't fizzle out as in Kenya. Efforts should be made towards a complete ban.
I find it uncontionable that there still exist stores of Ivory collected from those beautiful creatures. Please consider burning them.
STOP the cruelty NOW please!
