Agreed, the noise of the night trains has become unbearable. Noise pollution at its best. Sleep deprivation is the gateway to many health issues in all ages. Burlingame taxes and proceeds from real estate are so plentiful it should easily be able to afford what is needed for a quiet zone

Are flashing 'strobe-like' lights not a viable alternative option?

Train horns are excessively loud and long. I live more than a half mile from the track, yet I am awaken often by these horns. I truly feel for anyone who actually lives next to the tracks. It is a total nuisance. It makes zero sense to me that the trains blow these horns at all hours of the day and night! This was not an issue several years ago.

The past two nights, freight trains have woken up my 15 month old. He can easily sleep through the other horns. The freight train horns are much louder and last longer. Stop!

This past night was absolutely atrocious. 1 am and incessant noise.

Freight train horns have increased significantly between 1 and 4 am. There is no way to sleep through the noise, incredibly loud.

There seems to be a massive increase in train traffic/horn noise all day and all through the night for the past few months. It's incessant

The train horn at night is ridiculous. We just had one blow by and it blew from Burlingame Ave to Broadway almost nonstop. Loud enough to make my head split.

I just moved to northpark apartments 3/4/2015 and there is NO CONSISTENCY regarding the train horns! Some trains pass and all I hear is the motors however most North and South trains are randomly blaring the horn continuously at 1 second intervals, blaring the horn all he way from Burlingane ave to Broadway, the weekends are worse and the week days are not much better.

I recently moved to Burlingame from San Francisco. I live 2 blocks away from the tracks on Laguna Ave. Caltrain/freight train honks are just ridiculously loud. I'm still shocked that this has not been addressed to the city council. I considered myself pretty tolerant to noises (especially after living in SF) but these LOUD honks in the middle of every night are impossible to get used to!!! I hope this will be addressed as Burlingame will become a quiet zone very very soon. Otherwise I'll have to move out. Thank you!

If we get the 100 votes will this go through? Thanks

How can it possibly be legal to make that much noise in the middle of the night?
