Hundreds of children are being bullied here in our schools everyday. There is nothing being done about it. these children continue to suffer mentally and emotionally. They live in fear of going to school, afraid of what will come when they return. Knowing that no one at the school is going to do anything to help. When a child asks a teacher or other school employee for help they are told to work out the problem or to be friends with the one who is picking on them. Ignoring the fact that the situation is as bad as it is. My daughter ran away this past week, due to the fact of being bullied at school. She is miserable and unhappy. She feels forced to befriend those who are bullying her. She felt her only way was to run away at 9 years old. I woke on Friday morning and she was gone. She was later located after law enforcement were notified. Something needs to be done in these schools. It is only going to get worse. She is 9, what would it have been had she been older? Someone needs to better enforce the anti-bullying here in South Dakota! Are we waiting for something terrible to happen??? If you agree please sign this petition.
