Everyone who signs this petition is against the building of 8 2storey houses on the garage site of Sir John Leman Road. This is already a highly densly populated area in need of garage, or vehicle standing space. The building of these houses will displace more vehicles onto the surrounding roads, increase traffic in this hard to access area and make it more difficult for emergency vehicles to attend if required. If we wish to save this facility then we need to MAKE A NOISE!!
People living in the houses backing onto this area are going to loose all of their privacy and are going to be loosing daytime sunlight.
Flooding of Queen Elizabeth Drive is bound to get worse by adding more houses where the water already struggles to run away.
The sewage from the proposed 8 houses are going to be put into the exsiting sewage system and this is going to add onto the problems that Sir John Leman Road and Banham Road already have.
The roads surrounding the site are already highly congested and the two bus services that use Queen Elizabeth Drive and Banham Road already struggle to get through pushing further cars onto these roads are going to make it worse.
it is already a nightmare to park down here. adding more houses will make it impossible for the bin lorry or a fire engine to get through. leave it as it is.
