Would you (or someone you know) love a basketball court in Town Park where players gathered to play pick-up games? If you are like me, you want to play basketball everywhere you go. And most often that is the case. Although I grew up in Corte Madera, I have lived in New York City, Buffalo (NY), and traveled to Italy, the Dominican Republic, and a few other cities in the United States, and almost always I have been able to find a great, central location where I could play basketball. But the thing these places had in common were decent basketball courts with well-drawn lines, backboards with the layup square, and usually a glass backboard -- all things that are not present at the Town Park basketball court (or almost any in Corte Madera). Town Park could be the PLACE where people from all over Marin and visitors gather to play good, fun, pick-up basketball! All we need to do is agree that we want that!
