Build Banwell's Bypass

West Street is like a Car Park all day long.

Long over due and needed urgently for safety and pollution grands for the school and the villagers.

The near constant idling traffic blocking west street is a danger to the nearby school and emergency services

The traffic congestion removed will allow Banwell to develop new opportunities as a village gateway to Mendip AONB economically, socially and environmentally.

Two many accidents and incidents on this road leading to chaos at times

I live in Banwell and the traffic congestion is getting steadily worse, constant congestion, accidents and dangerous for pedestrians.

The bypass is critical for the immediate locality and wider infrastructure needed to support the growth of housing and business in the area

There will never be a better opportunity than this to get the bypass built. In the past funding has always been the issue but the HIF along with NSC have committed tens of millions to get it built. Support them and the village in getting this done.

The traffic trying to drive through Banwell is currently far in excess of what the narrow streets can cope with. Our 400-year old house has been struck several times by huge vehicles, causing severe structural damage. I know we are just one of many properties that have suffered the same fate. With the enormous amount of new house building already underway in the area, problems will undoubtedly increase beyond breaking point. Therefore I consider the Banwell by-pass to be absolutely essential, not only for residents but also for those thousands of car drivers who spend a considerable portion of their day attempting to get through the village two times a day.

Absolutely necessary to finally resolve the constant delays and damage caused by the traffic overload.

This is long overdue, Banwell is not designed for 18 wheel lorries to pass through it as the main road going through it has section where only 1 car can pass. There is constant traffic, constant idling of engines & constant road rage. This all creates an unhealthy & unpleasant environment for what should be a quiet rural village. This needs to happen immediately!

This is a must before someone gets killed. Air pollution around the square and Castle Hill is appalling

This is essential for us villagers

Fully support a bypass for Banwell

This is too important an opportunity to miss.

Probably 40 years overdue.

Build a modern road for today's vehicles not a road designed for horse & carts that we are currently using!
