I believe that Los Angeles county parks and recreation should increase the number of tennis courts at Loma Alta park. Badon tennis Academy has been an enrichment to the community and the Academy has attracted participants not just from Altadena but from outlying areas in the county.

My sons were blessed to spend their childhoods playing tennis at Loma Alta park and being instructed in the Badon tennis academy by Ma. Veronica Badon. My sons wouldn’t be who they are now, athletically, socially, and academically without her love and attention and skills. I’ve watched Veronica Badon struggle for years to have the proper facilities to bless more of the community in Loma Alta park. I want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to play tennis and enjoy the benefits of it at the park.

More tennis courts are needed in Altadena because of the large numbers of people of all ages showing interest in this healthy activity. Wait times for courts are frequently long, and intolerably so in the evening hours when most people have opportunity to play and the weather is conducive for outdoor activity.
