The city has officially approved the construction of our new skatepark. This result belongs to everyone who recognized the need for a dedicated space for our local athletes. We will now turn our attention to the planning phase to ensure the final design meets the needs of our community.

This has been years in the making, ticket after ticket, cracked ribs from being man handled by police for skating downtown. This needs to happen, has for a long time.
This is so true. Where I work, I've seen kids riding their skateboards in the parking lot where it's not safe. It would be great for them to have a place of their own.
It's about time we get one. There was a decision to either get that or Showbiz, and we got Showbiz. It's been there for a while. So let's go ahead and get one!
I think this will be better for our skaters that find random things to skateboard on. Some are not safe. If we had a skate park this will be better and safe. And parents won't have to worry where their kids are because they're are there at the skate park.
Instead of having police come and tell skaters to leave property, you should consider a skate park where people don't have to go on property to skate and have fun. If there was a skate park, complaints about people skating on private property or business property would decrease drastically.

I personally lived in Waxahachie right in town square it is a very alive area and would really uplift the vibe with a fun skate park for all the kids and it would attract more families and most likely bring more opportunities
