Build a secondary school for the parish of North petherton

Secondary provision in North Petherton is already inadequate and there are still rapidly expanding housing developments in the area. A new secondary school would be very welcome in this catchment area!

Secondary school very much needed for north petherton. I think it's disgusting & very wrong that school transport has been taken away for students of secondary years & expected to walk to Robert Blake. Traffic is chaos in rush hours & no way would I allow my child to walk from north petherton to school & back. It's dangerous along that stretch of road, also far distance if child has no bike.. just wrong. Also north petherton residents only have Robert Blake as nearest secondary school so no choice but to send there child to no to think about if child is not happy to go there if child maybe bullied & wanted to change school etc. North petherton deserves more & secondary school should be priority with population growing, new housing developments etc.

I am extremely concerned about the lack of good secondary school places to serve North Petherton and the surrounding villages. It is part of the Labour campaign for the County Council elections.

Taking in consideration the explotion of new development in the surrounding area, surely the infrastructure need to follow which include a new secondary school.

Please support this petition. I was previously a Head Teacher working in North Petherton and have experienced first hand the horrendous issues with traffic getting to Bridgwater. We cannot continue to allow these housing developments to be built without the appropriate resources such as schools to be a condition of the planning process.

We definitely need a secondary school in North Petherton - and with the new houses that are planned the need will only increase.

This side of an ever expanding town desperately needs a secondary school.It is all very well building infant/junior school and expanding these schools where will they go when going to "big" school

On stockmoor, but we pay council tax to north petherton!

This was needed 10 years ago when my daughter was of secondary school age, I can only imagine the struggles of the secondary schools iether side of the catchment area of people northpetherton.
