Build the center at a location that is going to provide the community with medical service for the expected life of a hospital, presently quoted as 50 years. A site with 100+ acres will do that. A site on a faultline, which has less than twice the usable space of the present GMH will not. In the 10 years it will take to bring it on line the medical community will adjust to serve the new location.

Guam needs a Medical Complex. I was forced to leave the island after 15 years because of a lack of medical care for my children. The first step in getting better medical care is getting the facilities doctors and other medical professionals can be confident will support their professional needs. I support the Governor's effort and wish that her original plan that included using military leased property had not been derailed; do not let this second attempt to fix the medical system on Guam slip away because of politics or the self-serving comments of a few doctors who put their real estate interests above the needs of rthe community.

This is a needed service across multiple agencies. There may never be a time where multiple funding sources could be available for Guam to build such a state-of-the-art medical complex. The time is now to support this initiative.
